How to Create an Artificial Succulent Birdhouse Decoration

Hello everyone! I have a quick and easy DIY craft project to share with you. I wasn't sure what to do with the second birdhouse I purchased at my local Dollar Tree a while back. If you follow me, you probably know how much I love succulents, especially faux ones. So, why not design a birdhouse with a faux succulent roof? I would love it if you could create one with me. The process is simple, and I'll take you through a full materials list.

How to Create an Artificial Succulent Birdhouse Decoration

Materials for birdhouse succulent craft

To make the birdhouse design, you will need the following materials:

- One craft birdhouse (you can buy it at Dollar Tree)

- Assorted faux succulents

- Craft moss

- Artistic paint (Espresso in this case)

- Paintbrush

- Hot glue

Acrylic paint and birdhouse

Applying paint to the birdhouse

Start by applying acrylic paint to your birdhouse. Use Espresso color, and add a small amount of water to thin out the paint. This will result in a stained finish without having to use stain.

After applying the paint, let it dry completely.

Birdhouse, moss and hot glue

Next, take your craft moss, and using hot glue, apply it to the roof of the birdhouse. Be careful when pressing the moss down onto the roof to protect your fingers.

Succulents and birdhouse

Adding artificial succulents

If necessary, use floral cutters to cut your succulent flowers to the size you want. Apply hot glue to each succulent flower and add it to the top of the birdhouse roof. Experiment with different sizes and looks of the succulents before adding them. This helps with placement and the overall design.

Wood Box With Glass Bottles Decorative Centerpiece

Hi everyone! I hope that you are all doing well. It has been pretty rainy these past few days. Instead of using the wood crate boxes from Dollar Tree, I wanted to build my own box. For this project, we're using a wood fence picket. I paid $1.48 for one picket, and you can create two boxes with just this one picket. I'm also going to reuse my glass Frappuccino bottles. I will provide a video tutorial as well.  Video tutorial Materials   One wood fence picket- I purchased mine at my local Lowe's for $1.48 Two glass bottles-I am reusing my Starbucks glass bottles Paint Paintbrush Faux greenery Rub-on transfers Wood glue Corner clamps Hot glue One round wooden circle Floral snips Scissors Begin by cutting your wood fence picket.
