Holiday DIY: Transforming a Candy Tin into a Christmas Ornament

The holiday season always inspires me to see everyday items in a new light. This year, I found myself holding a round candy tin and imagining how it could be transformed into a sparkling ornament for the Christmas tree. With just a few simple materials and a touch of creativity, this ordinary tin can become a festive keepsake that adds charm and personality to your holiday décor. Video tutorial Materials Needed One round candy tin Twine, string, or jute Acrylic paint (white or your choice) Paintbrush Scissors One mini decorative ornament Faux snow or Epsom salt Gem strips with sticky backing Mod Podge Decorative tissue paper or craft paper Faux foliage (small sprigs or leaves) Hot glue gun To begin, I traced the outline of the candy tin onto a piece of decorative tissue paper.  I chose a thinner tissue paper for its delicate look, but since it was sheer, I decided to paint the tin with a few layers of white acrylic paint first.  Once the paint dried, I brushed Mod Podge onto...
