Cute Spring Decor: DIY Dollar Tree Frame

Hi everyone! Today, I'm excited to share a simple frame craft using Dollar Tree materials. We'll create an easy Spring frame design with one of their frames. I'll provide a complete materials list, and for those who prefer visual guidance, there will be a video tutorial to follow along with.

Decorated blue Spring picture frame

Video tutorial

Materials for Spring picture frame

Materials:

-4x4 plywood frame (I'm using the frame with the bead design around the front)

-One mini bunny wood decoration (I found a pack at Dollar Tree a few years ago)

-Acrylic paint for painting the bunny (I'm using brown acrylic paint), and light blue paint for the frame

-Spring embellishments - I'm using spring buttons and other decorations for my frame

-Peel-and-stick decorative wallpaper - I found a few new designs at Dollar Tree

-Hot glue

-Paintbrush or spongebrush

Removing the backing from the frame:

Hand removing back of picture frame

Before you begin, remove the backing and the glass. Set the back of the frame aside.

Preparing the peel-and-stick paper:

Hand with pencil tracing

Flip the peel-and-stick paper over. I used the frame's paper insert and placed it on the paper. I traced the shape with a pencil.

Cutting out traced shaped with scissors

I used scissors to cut out the shape on the peel-and-stick paper.

Removing peel and stick backing

Remove the backing of the peel-and-stick paper and apply it to the insert. Note that the glass will not be placed back into the frame.

Applying wallpaper section of frame mount

Applying paint to the frame:

Paint, paintbrush, and frame

Using sponge brush to apply paint to frame

I started with a sponge brush. I dabbed it in the light blue paint and applied it to the frame.

Using smaller paintbrush to apply paint to frame

For smaller areas and between the bead design, I used a smaller paintbrush. Set it aside and allow it to dry, or use a heat tool to speed up the drying process. After the paint has dried, take the backing of the frame mount and reinsert it into the frame.

Painting the bunny decoration:

Painted frame, smaller sponge brush and acrylic paint

Applying paint to wooden bunny decoration

I used a small sponge brush to apply brown paint, thinned with water, to the bunny decoration.

Adding the bunny and other embellishments:

Lastly, I attached the bunny to the frame using hot glue.

I added a small flower button decoration to the bunny just below one of its ears. Additionally, I included a few smaller gem floral embellishments and a mini butterfly to the design.

Painted Spring frame decor

That completes your spring frame decoration. I love how I transformed a Dollar Tree frame and gave it a completely new look using peel-and-stick paper, paint, and other decorations. I hope you enjoyed creating this simple DIY project with me. See you soon!

DIY Magnetic Faux Succulent & Floral Lids — Upcycled Fridge Accent

I created these magnetic faux succulent and floral lids using some metal jar tops that I had saved. With a little creativity, they transformed into charming, lightweight accents that add a pop of color and personality to the fridge. Each lid features its own tiny arrangement—part succulent and part floral—all crafted with intention and charm. This project is easy and budget-friendly, allowing you to use items you already have while adding a lovely touch to your home. Quick Video Tutorial Materials Metal jar lids (one large, one small) Letter beads (to spell LOVE ) Faux moss Faux succulents Faux vines Faux flowers (pink, green foliage, white accents) Hot glue gun and glue sticks Magnets I began with the larger metal lid, attaching small letter beads to spell out LOVE . This created a meaningful little focal point and set the tone for the rest of the design. Next, I glued a layer of faux moss along the bottom of the lid. The moss added softness and helped anchor the colorful...

Personalize Your Space: DIY Floral Summer Sign on Plywood

I recently found a floral summer sign made of plywood at Michaels and decided to personalize it with some paint and lettering. How I Refreshed an Old Garden Statue with Paint (Easy Patio DIY)

This charming toad perched on his toadstool has been a beloved part of our patio for years, enduring the passage of time while gradually succumbing to the effects of sun and weather. With each season, he has faded a little more, losing some of his vibrant colors and details. Rather than allowing him to blend into the background and become just another forgotten decoration, I decided it was time to breathe new life into him.  I shared the whole process in a quick YouTube Shorts video called “Watch Me Refresh This Old Garden Statue.” It’s a simple before‑and‑after, but such a satisfying one.  Materials I Used Garden statue (mine is a toad on a toadstool) Sandpaper Acrylic paints Small detail brushes Mod Podge (for sealing and protection) Sanding and Painting I began by gently sanding the statue to smooth out the chipped and faded paint. It only takes a few minutes, but it makes such a difference. Once the surface felt ready, I brought out my acrylic paints and started...
