Are you looking for budget-friendly ways to spruce up your home this spring? I have a great DIY sign decor idea that is perfect for the season and won't break the bank. In this craft, I will guide you through creating your very own Spring sign. I will provide a complete list of required materials and a quick video tutorial for those who prefer visual instructions.

Spring Sign Decor

Video tutorial

Materials Needed
  • One hanging decoration sign (I found this at my local Dollar Tree near the frames)
  • One Pack of wooden bunnies (Purchased at Dollar Tree)
  • Decorative Spring napkins
  • Acrylic paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Adhesive/ Hot glue
  • Mod Podge
  • Mini iron and parchment paper (Needed if applying Mod Podge using this technique)
  • Scissors
Materials-Wooden bunnies, paint, floral, and hanging sign

Step one: Applying paint to the hanging decoration
Let's begin by painting the hanging decoration. I painted the three sections of my sign white and it took me three coats to complete the new design.
When covering up a sign, keep in mind that you may need more paint based on its previous design.

Step Two: Adding Decorative Napkin and Mod Podge
Next, unfold your napkin and remove the second layer if it's 2-ply. Using scissors cut the decorative section of your napkin that you want to use in your design.

Apply Mod Podge over the section where you will display your decorative napkin using a paintbrush. I placed my decorative napkin on the top section of my sign. Then, take the parchment paper and place it over the napkin.

Using a mini iron, carefully go over the parchment paper and decorative napkin. After ironing the decoration, remove the parchment paper and use scissors to remove any excess napkins.

Step Three: Applying Paint to the Wooden Bunnies
After that, take your wooden bunnies and start applying paint to each bunny. I chose to use three bunnies and painted them pink.

Step Four: Attaching the bunnies and flowers to the sign
The last step is to attach the bunnies and artificial flowers to the sign. Using adhesive or hot glue, attach each bunny to your sign along with any flowers. I decided to reuse my faux tulips from a previous craft.

Remember that you can add lettering as well as other embellishments if you want more on your sign.
