Materials:
- One wooden crate box (purchased at Dollar Tree)
- Acrylic paint
- Floral cutters
- Twine
- Faux flowers
- Scissors
- Hot glue
- Paintbrush
Applying acrylic paint to the wooden crate
For this project, I used a wooden crate that I had previously painted black. If you're using an unpainted crate, you won't need to apply as many layers of paint. I used a mix of two paint colors - a lighter pink and white - for Valentine's Day.
Attaching twine and floral
After applying your paint, allow it to dry fully. Then, use floral cutters to trim your flowers to the desired size. I added some faux miniature roses in my craft box to the top of my crate. I wrapped twine around the crate and flowers to hold them in place. If your crate doesn't lay flat after adding twine, cut the middle of the twine and glue the ends to the inside.
Next, attach a fabric heart to the front of your crate using hot glue. Finally, use a small paintbrush to add any words of your choice. I added "love you always," but you could also use sticker lettering.
You have completed your Valentine's wooden book stack! I hope you enjoyed making it.
