Materials You’ll Need:

  • One paintbrush
  • A pencil (for sketching your design)
  • One canvas in any size you prefer
  • Acrylic paints (I used a light green and a pinkish orange tone)
  • Coffee-themed sticker decoration (found mine at Dollar Tree!)
  • Decorative flower rub-on transfers
  • Scissors
  • Rub-on transfer tool (or use your finger/pencil eraser as a substitute)
  • Drying tool (optional but helpful)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Create Your Background

Start by selecting your background colors. I went with a gentle light green for one half and a pinkish orange tone for the other. Apply the paint with your brush in broad strokes. You can blend softly in the center for a more seamless look or keep the division clean for contrast.

Let the canvas dry completely. A drying tool speeds up the process, but air drying works just fine if you're feeling patient.

2. Sketch Your Coffee Cup

With your pencil, gently sketch out a coffee cup design at the center of the canvas. Keep it simple—think classic mug or to-go cup style.

3. Paint and Outline

Using black acrylic paint, outline the coffee cup you just sketched. Then fill it in with the same black paint or get playful with other coffee-inspired colors, such as mocha brown or creamy beige.

4. Add Floral Touches

Time to bring in the florals! Cut out your chosen flower designs from the rub-on transfer sheet. Arrange them around your canvas, framing the coffee cup or adding them near the corners. Use your rub-on transfer tool, or gently press and rub them on with your finger or pencil eraser.

5. Apply Your Quote

To finish things off, add a coffee-themed quote to the top of your artwork. I used a decorative sticker from Dollar Tree that fit perfectly with the vibe. It reads, I love you a latte. Feel free to pick a quote that speaks to you—something warm and inviting like “But first, coffee” or “Coffee is my love language.”

Final Thoughts:

This DIY coffee canvas turned out to be a wonderful addition to my coffee bar. It’s a heartfelt way to personalize your space and makes for a charming gift, too! If you’re more into tea, simply switch out the theme—tea cups, green tones, and herbal motifs can transform the look while keeping the cozy energy.

DIY Magnetic Faux Succulent & Floral Lids — Upcycled Fridge Accent

I created these magnetic faux succulent and floral lids using some metal jar tops that I had saved. With a little creativity, they transformed into charming, lightweight accents that add a pop of color and personality to the fridge. Each lid features its own tiny arrangement—part succulent and part floral—all crafted with intention and charm. This project is easy and budget-friendly, allowing you to use items you already have while adding a lovely touch to your home. Quick Video Tutorial Materials Metal jar lids (one large, one small) Letter beads (to spell LOVE ) Faux moss Faux succulents Faux vines Faux flowers (pink, green foliage, white accents) Hot glue gun and glue sticks Magnets I began with the larger metal lid, attaching small letter beads to spell out LOVE . How I Refreshed an Old Garden Statue with Paint (Easy Patio DIY)

This charming toad perched on his toadstool has been a beloved part of our patio for years, enduring the passage of time while gradually succumbing to the effects of sun and weather. With each season, he has faded a little more, losing some of his vibrant colors and details. Rather than allowing him to blend into the background and become just another forgotten decoration, I decided it was time to breathe new life into him.  I shared the whole process in a quick YouTube Shorts video called “Watch Me Refresh This Old Garden Statue.” It’s a simple before‑and‑after, but such a satisfying one.  Materials I Used Garden statue (mine is a toad on a toadstool) Sandpaper Acrylic paints Small detail brushes Mod Podge (for sealing and protection) Sanding and Painting I began by gently sanding the statue to smooth out the chipped and faded paint. It only takes a few minutes, but it makes such a difference. Once the surface felt ready, I brought out my acrylic paints and started...
