Upcycle Your Candle Jars: Halloween Light Decoration

Hey everyone! I hope you're all doing well. I'm excited to share an easy upcycled craft with you today. After using one of my candles, I cleaned the jar and repurposed it for a Halloween light decoration. Usually, I keep jars to store things inside them, but this time, I wanted something I could display for Halloween. I could transform my candle jar into a Halloween light decoration with just a few materials. I'd love to show you how, so follow along with this quick and easy tutorial.

Video tutorial

Let's start with gathering a few materials. You will need:

One glass candle jar (I'm reusing a candle jar)

Halloween themed napkin

Mod Podge

Paintbrush

Craft gems (assorted colors)

Scissors

Adhesive

First, remove the second layer of the napkin. Then, use scissors to cut out the designs from the napkin you want to decorate.

After that, use a paintbrush to apply Mod Podge to the glass surface before placing the napkin over it. Apply Mod Podge over the decorative napkin cut-out as well.

Next, use adhesive to attach craft gems, placing a few around the cutouts. I chose to use a battery-operated light for my glass jar.

This decoration is perfect for displaying on a window ledge, but remember to use a battery-operated light or LED candle instead of a tealight candle with a flame.

Your decoration is complete and ready to be displayed. I love how simple it was to reuse a glass jar and create a fun and bright Halloween light decoration.

Thank you for creating with me! I'll see you soon. Make sure to check out a few other Halloween decoration ideas below.
