Metal Planter in Bloom: Three Creative Floral Designs for a Beautiful Display

If you've ever wondered what to do with the Dollar Tree metal planters that say "Flowers" and "Garden," look no further. There are several ways to spruce them up, from using acrylic paint to turning them into a faux garden sink. Today, I will show you three creative floral designs you can create using items you may already have at home. Metal Planter in Bloom: Three Creative Floral Designs for a Beautiful Display

Let's begin by gathering our materials. For my designs, I used materials I already had at home, whether they were from previous projects or artificial flowers from my flower bin. Take a look around your home and see what you could reuse to create your designs.

The following items I am using for the project:

- One metal planter

- A rectangular wooden riser (this will lift up some decorations when placed in the metal planter); other options could include shorter tin cans, smaller jars positioned upside down, or foam craft blocks

- Artificial flowers

- Miniature watering can

- Decorative glass gems

- Small and medium-sized glass jars

- Craft moss

- Embellishments and decorations

-Battery-operated tealight candle

First Design:

I wanted to use lighter colors, such as light blues and pink, for my first design. I started by placing a small rectangular wooden riser, a shorter tin can, or a small jar positioned upside down as the base. You can also use a foam block to lift your decorations higher for display.

Next, I inserted a smaller floral foam block on the side of the riser. If the foam block is too snug, you can shave off any excess using a plastic craft knife. Then, I placed a medium-sized glass jar on top of the riser and poured clear and blue decorative gems halfway into the jar. I then placed a decorative bird next to the glass jar and inserted light pink artificial flowers into the foam block. Finally, I added a battery-operated tea light candle inside the glass jar.

Second Design:

I kept the riser and foam block in place for the second design and used a mini watering can as the base. I filled the watering can with craft moss and inserted artificial purple flowers and a butterfly. Then, I added white flowers and foliage into the foam block and placed a smaller glass jar with darker pink flowers just behind the riser. Finally, I added a battery-operated tea light candle to complete the design.

Third Design:

For the third design, I used a succulent birdhouse and added faux succulent flowers into the foam block and around the back section of the planter, just behind the riser. I also placed a glass jar with a tea light candle and added colorful succulent flowers between the larger succulent flowers for a pop of color.

These beautiful displays can be used as a centerpiece on the table for a garden party, tea party, or wedding. Creating these displays is simple and budget-friendly, especially by reusing items you already have at home.
