Home And Garden Terra Cotta Pot Decorations

 Hi everyone!

How have you all been? I took last week off from doing any DIY projects.

It was excellent. I was able to spend some much-needed quality time with my family.

We spent a lot of time outdoors.

We are still repairing our window well, so there were many trips to pick up materials.

While at my local Lowe's store, I found these $2 Terra Cotta pots. I picked up two and also two terra cotta saucers.

I wanted to create a decoration that could be displayed in the home or garden/patio. You will need just a few materials, and there will be a few that are optional.

Size 3''

Acrylic paint
I am using white for the pot and celery green for the clay saucer

Moss
I am using preserved moss that I purchased at Walmart

E6000

Hot glue

Faux floral

Paintbrush

Floral cutters

Optional- Mod Podge or clear coat spray paint and butterfly gems

Applying paint to terra cotta saucers

Two terra cotta saucers with acrylic paint and paintbrush nearby.

Start by taking your paintbrush and applying acrylic paint to each clay saucer.
Set your clay saucers aside and allow them to fully dry.

Next, take your pots and use your paintbrush to apply your acrylic paint.
Allow your pots to fully dry before moving to the next step. **Note** After the paint has dried on your clay saucers and pots, you could take either a clear coat spray or Mod Podge to seal in the paint.
This can be done if you are planning on displaying your decoration outdoors.

Attaching saucers to pots

Take your pots and flip them over to where the bottom of the pot is facing up.
Next, apply some adhesive around the bottom of the pots. Take your saucers and add them to your pots.

Next, take your moss and begin to spread it on the inside of the saucer. I used some hot glue when attaching my moss to my saucer.

After, take your floral cutters and cut your floral to the desired size. Use some hot glue and attach them to the inside of your saucer with the moss.

Once you have added your flowers you can add any other decorations or embellishments to your design. I added two of my butterfly gems.

  13. Oh, my! Too cute! I had a small succulent gnome garden, I made several years ago, and I ended up giving it away. I purchased a ton of fairy garden ornaments, houses, and decor for a fairy garden about 3 months ago and forgot all about it until just now when I seen your post. I think I am going to incorporate your ideas and create another one! Thank you for sharing!

A Touch of Spring: Faux Rose & Wildflower Beaded Wreath Tutorial

Today I’m sharing a soft and delicate spring wreath that comes together beautifully with just a few simple supplies. I’m using a beaded wood wreath as my base, along with faux yellow roses, pink artificial wildflowers, and a bit of foliage to bring everything to life. This project is perfect if you’re looking to add a gentle pop of color and a touch of spring charm to your home. Video tutorial  Supplies You’ll Need Beaded wood wreath Faux yellow roses Pink artificial wildflowers Faux foliage Floral/wire cutters Craft wire Trim Your Florals I started by using my floral cutters to trim the stems of each flower. Make sure the stems are short enough to fit nicely against the wreath, but long enough to secure them with wire. Adjust the length to suit your design and the level of fullness you want in your wreath. I began by cutting my yellow roses first. Prepare Your Craft Wire and  Attach the Roses After I trimmed the roses, I cut small sections of craft wire. These will be u...

Are you looking to add some charm to your living space on a budget? Try making your own DIY Faux Blossom Branch Tree. In this tutorial, I will guide you through the process of creating your blossom branch tree. The best part is that this project requires just a few simple materials, and you can even repurpose a section of a tree branch. Alternatively, you can use a smaller section of a tree branch or one similar to the one I am using. So, if you're ready to start, come along and create your blossom branch tree with me. Easy Steps to Create a Cozy Autumn Tablescape at Home

Hello everyone! I’m excited that you decided to visit the blog today. I wanted to share how to create a cozy autumn tablescape at home. My goal was to design something warm and inviting, as our table is a space where we share conversations, drink coffee, tackle homework, and simply enjoy each other’s company.  I typically don’t go all out when decorating my dining table, but I wanted to show you how I styled it using decor pieces I already had.
