DIY 4th Of July Hanging Door Decoration

Hello everyone! I hope you're all doing well. It isn't summer yet, but these temperatures are definitely feeling like it! How's the weather over where you live? Today I created a quick, and simple craft.  I will take you through creating your very own 4th of July hanging door decoration

Video tutorial

Materials needed

One wooden truck decoration

One small bamboo ring  -Purchased at Dollar Tree, and comes in a pack of two

Wood stars

Paint

Floral snips

Floral-Purchased at Dollar Tree

Paint brushes

Hot glue

Twine

Start by applying red paint to your wooden truck.  Between coats, you can use a blow dryer, or heat gun to help with drying.

Next, take your black paint, and begin to paint the wheels of your wooden truck.  I applied the black paint around the outer section of the wheel and left the center clear of paint. Using your white paint, apply paint to the center of each wheel.

Take some blue paint and apply it to your bamboo ring. Be sure to apply paint on the inner section of the ring.

Using your paintbrush apply paint onto each of your wooden stars. I went with red, white, and blue.  Set them aside, and allow them to dry.

Take your scissors, and cut a medium-length strand of twine. Take your twine, and tie each end to your bamboo ring. When you are done, this should create a loop. Tie off the ends, and create a knot.

After, take your hot glue, and apply some onto the lower section of your bamboo ring. Take your wooden truck, and add it to your bamboo ring.

Next, take your wooden stars, and add them to your bamboo ring.

After gluing on your stars, take your floral snips, and begin to cut your floral to size. Flip your bamboo ring over so that the back side of the truck is facing up. Use your hot glue, and attach your floral onto the bed section of your truck.

Your 4th of July hanging decoration is now complete! I love how simple this was to create. Let me know if you decide to create your very own. And also be sure to check out my YouTube channel for more video tutorials! --Thanks so much for stopping by. I'll see you soon!
