Materials:
- One bunny with flowers plaque (size: 4.13" x 6.45" x 0.2")
- Hot glue
- Craft moss
- White paint marker
- Acrylic paint
- Paintbrush
- Mod Podge
- Decorative tissue paper
- Scissors
Step One: Adding Acrylic Paint to the Bunny Head
Begin by applying acrylic paint to the bunny head plaque. I chose brown paint for my bunny. I added a bit of water to thin the paint, ensuring it wouldn’t go on too thick. When applying the paint, focus on the outer edges and make those areas darker. Allow the paint to dry completely.
Step Two: Adding Decorative Tissue Paper and Mod Podge
This step is optional, but I enjoy incorporating decorative paper into my projects. I have a beautiful floral tissue paper that I love to use. Using a paintbrush, I applied a thin layer of Mod Podge to the inner section of the bunny head plaque. Then, I cut a piece of tissue paper and placed it over the Mod Podge, smoothing any creases. After that, I applied a second layer of Mod Podge over the tissue paper and used my heating tool to speed up the drying process. Use a craft knife to cut away any excess tissue paper.
Step Three: Painting the Flowers
Next, I decided to paint the flowers. I selected light pink and purple for the flowers, and a green mixed with white for the leaves.
Step Four: Outlining with a Paint Marker
I outlined the flowers with a white paint marker and added outlines to some areas on the tissue paper.
Final Step: Adding Craft Moss
I added a thin layer of craft moss over the painted flowers to complete the project and included one paper flower.
I am thrilled with how this craft turned out, and it looks fantastic displayed alongside my other Spring and Easter decorations. Thank you for joining me in this creative process! If you create your own version, please let me know—I would love to see it.
