Easy Dollar Tree Sign Makeover to Refresh Your Fall Decor

 Hello everyone! Happy October! Today, I want to show you how to create a fall sign using items from Dollar Tree. I found a simple sign there and decided to give it a makeover. This is a step-by-step tutorial, and I will provide you with a list of all the materials you will need.

Materials:

- One Dollar Tree sign

- Acrylic paint

- Assorted faux fall leaves

- Decorative napkin

- Optional: wooden letter blocks

- Optional: faux flowers

- Paintbrush

- Adhesive

Start by painting the sign. I chose to mix white paint with orange for my sign. It took a few coats of paint, allowing each coat to dry, to achieve full coverage.

Next, I painted the stem using a mixture of brown and white paint. Then, I added a shimmery green paint with a little white paint to the metal leaf. I used a smaller paintbrush to add some white paint to the lines of the leaf.

When working with the napkin, I began by cutting out my chosen design. I used a red autumn truck napkin design for my sign. After cutting it out, I removed the second layer. I then applied Mod Podge directly to the sign and napkin and used a heating tool to dry it.

I used both E6000 and hot glue to attach the assorted fall leaves, flowers, and wooden letter blocks. This helps keep everything attached, especially when I hang it on my front door where it gets hot.

Wasn't that a simple makeover? I love that you can add your own fun design to any sign and give it a completely new look. It's so simple, and you can be as creative as you want!
