Eco-Friendly Crafting: How to Make a Beautiful Flower Holder from Cardboard

Discover how to create a beautiful flower holder from cardboard in an eco-friendly way. Hello everyone, today I'm excited to share an eco-friendly crafting project with you.

While cleaning up my wrapping paper collection, I noticed the paper roll had run out, leaving only the cardboard paper center. Instead of throwing it away, it would be a great opportunity to reuse the paper and create something beautiful.

Cardboard wrapping paper sleeve with tulips

Materials
Materials

- Cardboard paper (preferably thicker wrapping paper)
- Faux flowers (such as tulips and greenery)
- Two fabric hearts and butterfly stickers
- Two craft clothespins
- Hot glue or glue stick
- Twine
-Hole puncher
- Optional faux flexible flowers to wrap around the twine.

Step one: Preparing the paper

To get started, cut a piece of cardboard paper. Make sure to choose a size that will fit the flowers you plan to use later on in the craft. The size of the section should be large enough to accommodate the flowers in the center of the sleeve. For my project, I cut a section that was big enough to add my faux tulips.

Step two: Adding glue to the cardboard paper

To make a tulip bouquet, start by taking a piece of cardboard paper and folding it in half. Next, place your bundle of artificial tulips in the center of the paper to ensure that they fit properly before gluing the sides and bottom together. For attaching the sides and bottom, it is recommended to use a glue stick.

Step three: Adding the holes, twine, and flowers

To create a display using your cardboard sleeve, start by using a hole puncher to make two holes at the top of the opening. Then, cut a strand of twine long enough to hang your display, and fold it in half. Insert the ends of the twine into the holes and tie them off securely. If you like, you can add flowers around the twine for decoration. Take some artificial flowers with flexible wire, wrap them around the twine, and secure them in place.

Step four: Adding the craft pins and fabric hearts

Take two craft pins and attach them to your cardboard sleeve. Open each of the pins and place them at the top of the sleeve. After adding the pins, insert the fabric hearts into the craft pins.

Step five: Adding the Artificial flowers and butterfly stickers

Insert your flowers into the sleeve, then add greenery, butterfly stickers, or other decorations to enhance your display.

Your hanging flower sleeve is now complete! This project is great for those who prefer to reuse items instead of throwing them away. You can easily hang this flower display on a door, decorative hook, or wall. Additionally, you can change out your flowers according to your personal style. Thank you for visiting and creating this flower holder with me.
