Painted Hello Fall Sign with faux floral embellishments

I found a wooden fall sign that I had stored in my Autumn bin, which I had purchased from my local Joann's store. I want to share with you an easy decorating project that involves painting and embellishing. You will only need a few materials, such as paint, flower embellishments, and faux leaves. Below is a complete list of all the materials you will need.

Painting leaves on the wooden sign

Start by painting the leaves on your wooden sign. I used a darker green color and combined it with a cream paint color. For a few of the leaves, I used only the darker green paint color. While painting, use the cream color to outline areas on the leaves. You can also mix the two colors together to create a lighter green hue. I left some of the wooden leaves unpainted, and we will come back to those later.

Applying paint to branches and the pumpkin on the wooden sign

Next, apply brown paint to the connecting branches that lead to each of the leaves and around your sign. Once you have painted the leaves and branches, take your orange paint and begin painting the pumpkin on your sign. I combined orange paint with my cream color paint, and I used a little of the cream color paint to outline the pumpkin. I also used a little brown paint to apply to the stem of the pumpkin. After, take your red acrylic paint and begin to paint the letters on your wooden sign.

Adding faux leaves and embellishments

Now you're ready to start adding your faux leaves. Using floral cutters, cut a few pieces of the leaves from the stem. Use hot glue and start attaching the faux leaves to the unpainted leaf sections. Finally, take your flower embellishments and add them to your wooden sign. I used a little hot glue when attaching my flowers to my wooden sign.

In this tutorial, I will guide you through the process of creating your blossom branch tree.
