Dollar Tree Wood Pumpkin Decoration | Easy Fall Décor

Hello! I'm so happy to see that you stopped by and you're ready to create this easy fall decoration with me. For this craft, we will be using Mod Podge and decorative craft paper. I will provide a list of materials used and I will also take you through each step.

Video tutorial

Materials

Mod podge
One wood pumpkin
One wood word sign
Scissors
Faux succulent flowers and vines
Gold wire
Craft knife
Pencil
Hot glue
Paint
Paintbrush

Start by applying paint to the outlined outer sections of your pumpkin.

Next, take your second paint color and use your paintbrush to apply paint onto the stem of your pumpkin.

Next, take your craft knife and begin to carefully cut out the three shapes on your pumpkin. I found it easy to lay my craft paper on top of my pumpkin and I used my craft knife along the wood surface and gently made my cuts. If you find this to be a little difficult, you can always choose to trace your shapes out.

After, take your paint brush and begin to apply your Mod Podge onto the wood sections. Take each of your cutouts and add them over the Mod Podge surfaces. Gently smooth out your paper and apply Mod Podge over each decorative paper section. I used my blow dryer when smoothing out my paper. I find it very helpful and it helps to smooth out any creases.

Next, take your gold wire and begin to wrap it around the stem of your pumpkin.
Once you have wrapped enough around your stem, take your floral cutters and snip off any of the extra wire.

You are now ready to add on your succulents and vines. Use your hot glue and apply a little to each flower and vine.
Add your succulents and vine to your wood pumpkin. I added mine just below my pumpkin stem.

For this last step, you will add your second paint color to your wood word sign.  After applying your paint, choose an area on your pumpkin and glue it on your wood sign.

Your wood pumpkin decoration is complete. I hope that you have enjoyed this simple craft. Let me know if you decide to create your own soon! I'll see you soon.

-Steph ❤

How I Refreshed an Old Garden Statue with Paint (Easy Patio DIY)

This charming toad perched on his toadstool has been a beloved part of our patio for years, enduring the passage of time while gradually succumbing to the effects of sun and weather. With each season, he has faded a little more, losing some of his vibrant colors and details. Rather than allowing him to blend into the background and become just another forgotten decoration, I decided it was time to breathe new life into him.  I shared the whole process in a quick YouTube Shorts video called “Watch Me Refresh This Old Garden Statue.” It’s a simple before‑and‑after, but such a satisfying one.  Materials I Used Garden statue (mine is a toad on a toadstool) Sandpaper Acrylic paints Small detail brushes Mod Podge (for sealing and protection) Sanding and Painting I began by gently sanding the statue to smooth out the chipped and faded paint. It only takes a few minutes, but it makes such a difference. Once the surface felt ready, I brought out my acrylic paints and started...

Transforming a Dollar Tree Metal Home Sign with Paint

Hello, blogging friends! Today, I’m excited to share an easy makeover I did using a “HOME” sign from Dollar Tree. This project is simple, but the transformation feels soft, warm, and inviting—just the kind of piece that quietly brightens a space. The sign began as plain and flat, but after a few gentle coats of paint, it became something charming and full of personality. Video tutorial  Materials Dollar Tree metal HOME sign (Crafter’s Square) Black FolkArt Matte Acrylic Paint Light green Craft Smart Matte Acrylic Paint Coral Craft Smart Matte Acrylic Paint Light pink paint Dark green Paintbrushes (flat and detail brushes) I started by applying a black base coat to the entire sign. Using a small, pointed-tip brush, I carefully reached all the tiny areas around the leaves and buds. I applied three coats of black paint, drying each layer with my heat tool. This step creates a clean, even surface and helps the top colors stand out beautifully. Next, I used a light green paint t...
