Creating your coffee sign
Start off by applying your chalk paint onto your metal house. I found that using a sponge brush was easier, and the paint went on smoother this way.
Apply your paint to the front, and back of your metal house. You can use a heat gun to help dry the paint in between coats. I applied around four coats of paint to completely cover the metal surface.
Next, take your espresso paint, and paint the bottom wood section that is attached to the metal house. Be sure to add paint to the top, sides, and bottom front, and back sections. Again, if you have a heat gun you can use it to help with the drying process.
I applied around three coats of paint to cover the wood section.
Now you're ready to apply your coffee decorative sticker onto your metal house decoration. The pack that I purchased had a variety of coffee quotes and pictures. So for this, you can use any sticker from your pack. Just take your sticker, and add it to the front side of your house decoration.
**Note**---To give your decorative sticker extra hold, I suggest spreading a thin layer of clear glue onto the metal house surface and then applying your sticker on top of the clear glue. This will give your sticker extra hold on the metal surface.
Next, add your coffee beans around the top, and side sections of your decorative metal house. For this, I needed around a handful of coffee beans. All you need to do is take your coffee beans, and your adhesive, apply a small amount of your adhesive onto the bottom of each bean, and gently press it down onto the metal house. You will use the beans and trace around the top, and side sections of the house.
Set your metal house aside and take your beads, and add a few onto your twine. Once you add a few beads, tie a knot at the end of your last bead. Take your twine, and wrap it around the bottom section of the house. Tie off your twine, and cut off any remaining twine. You should end with your beads at the bottom front section of your house where the coffee sticker is facing.
You're all done! Wasn't that a simple DIY project? I hope you enjoy it just as much as I did. This coffee sign looks beautiful displayed on a coffee bar, tray, or just in the kitchen.
