Easy Floral Wreath for Valentine's Day Decor

💗 Valentine’s Day décor doesn’t have to be bold or over the top. Sometimes the sweetest pieces are the ones with soft colors, natural textures, and a handmade touch. This easy floral wreath brings all of that together — a heart‑shaped grapevine base, delicate faux florals, and a charming painted wooden bird that adds just the right amount of whimsy. It’s simple, elegant, and perfect for adding a gentle hint of love to your home.

🌸 Supplies You’ll Need

Heart‑shaped grapevine wreath
Faux florals in soft pinks, light green, dark green, and white
Small wooden bird
Acrylic white paint
One paintbrush
Floral wire (optional but helpful for securing stems)
Wire cutters or scissors

Step 1: Decorate the Wreath with Florals

Start by preparing your faux florals. Trim the stems to workable lengths, keeping a mix of longer pieces for structure and shorter ones for filling in gaps.

Choose one side or the bottom of your heart wreath as your focal area. Grapevine wreaths make this part wonderfully simple — you can tuck stems directly into the vines or secure them with floral wire for extra hold. I chose to add my flowers directly into the vines after I cut each floral stem to size.

Step 2: Paint the Wooden Bird

Once your florals are in place, turn your attention to the wooden bird. Give it a fresh coat of white acrylic paint to soften the look and help it blend beautifully with the pastel florals. I added a blend of a darker pink with my white paint and added a layer of this color.

Set the bird aside or use a heating tool to dry completely before attaching it.

Step 3: Add the Painted Bird to the Wreath

When the bird is dry, nestle it into your wreath. I added my bird to the very bottom section of my wreath. You can secure it with hot glue or floral wire, depending on your preference. Position it so it looks like it has found a cozy little perch among the flowers. This tiny detail adds personality and makes the wreath feel truly one‑of‑a‑kind.

Step 4: Final Touches

Step back and take a look at your wreath. Fluff any florals that need adjusting, and tuck in a few extra leaves or blooms for a fuller look.

With everything perfectly in place, your wreath is now ready to adorn a door, mirror, or wall, adding a charming touch to your Valentine’s Day decor. Its inviting presence will surely create a warm and romantic atmosphere, making the celebration even more special.
