DIY Wooden Bead Summer Flower Wreath

Looking for a charming way to brighten up your space this summer? This wooden bead summer wildflower wreath is the perfect blend of rustic, playful, and handmade beauty. Whether you're sprucing up your front door or looking for a whimsical wall piece, this craft is blooming with possibilities.

Video tutorial

What You’ll Need:

  • 10'' wooden bead wreath
  • Artificial assorted flowers (I’m using pink and yellow for a cheerful pop)
  • Floral cutters & scissors
  • Stretch cord (clear or white) or floral wire
  • Hot glue gun or strong adhesive of your choice
  • Wood circle
  • Stamp design + assorted stamp ink pads

Step 1: Make Your Stamped Centerpiece

Start by taking your wooden circle and grabbing your stamp set. I chose a fun design: a cup that reads “hello there” with flowers blooming from it. Using different-colored ink pads, stamp your design onto the wooden circle. Let it dry fully, then set it aside.

Step 2: Prep Your Flowers-Arrange and Attach

Use floral cutters to trim your artificial flowers to size. I chose to style my wreath with blooms on just one side for a modern asymmetrical look, but you can go all the way around if that’s more your vibe. Cut lengths of stretch cord or floral wire (stretch cord gave mine a soft, flexible hold). Wrap and tie the cord around each mini bundle of flowers as you attach them to your wreath base. Snip off any excess cord for a tidy finish.

Step 3 (Optional): Add the Wood Circle Accent

Flip your stamped wood circle over, add hot glue or another heavy-duty adhesive to the back, and press it firmly onto the beads—mine sits nicely at the bottom of the wreath. Feel free to reinforce it with extra glue for a long-lasting hold.

Step 4: Make It Hangable

Cut a small loop of stretch cord and tie it to the top of the wreath for easy hanging. You could also hang it with ribbon, twine, or display it on a hook. This wreath adds so much warmth and whimsy to any space—it’s like bottling up summer and putting it on your door. 🌸 I'd love to see how yours turns out!
