Hey everyone! I hope you're doing well. Today, I want to share an easy DIY project with you. We'll make a patriotic book stack using a wooden crate from Dollar Tree. If you follow my blog, you probably know how much I enjoy creating these simple book stacks for different occasions.

Create your very own Patriotic Book Stack
Here are the materials you'll need:
- One wooden crate box (you can find these at Dollar Tree or any craft store)
- Paintbrush
- Acrylic paint in red, white, and blue
- Faux floral
- Twine or craft string
- Sticker letters or a cutting machine to create your lettering and embellishments (I used my Cricut Machine to create the stars)
Adding paint to the wooden crate
Start by painting the wooden crate box. Previously I had painted mine black, but for this project, I wanted to paint it red, white, and blue. I began by applying white paint over the black paint. Then, I added red and blue paint to two sections on the front of the box, leaving the middle section white. I also painted the top of the box red.
Adding embellishments and letters
Next, I created star embellishments using my Cricut machine. Originally, I planned to use lettering, but I encountered an issue with the font and ended up painting the words "God Bless America" instead. You can also use sticker letters if you prefer.
Then, I added the star embellishments to the top of the box. I used my weeding tool to remove each vinyl star and simply pressed them onto the top of the wooden crate.
Adding flowers and twine
Finally, I added the faux floral and twine. I found some flowers in my craft box and wrapped them on the top of the box using craft string.
And that's it! This simple patriotic book stack craft is perfect for decorating a patriotic tiered tray, shelf, mantel, or any other decorations.
