Create a Cute Christmas Wooden Tabletop Decoration

Create a cute and festive Christmas wooden tabletop decor with this easy DIY craft project. Perfect for adding a touch of holiday cheer to your home or as a thoughtful handmade gift. Get inspired and start crafting today!

Hello everyone, today I will show you how to create a cute decoration in no time! I am using a wooden triangle decoration that I purchased from Dollar Tree a few months ago. If you can't find a wooden triangle, you can also build one using scrap wood material. This craft requires just a few materials, such as Mod Podge, paint, and a decorative napkin. Below, I will provide a detailed step-by-step tutorial along with a full materials list.

Check out the video tutorial

Materials

- Mod Podge

- One wooden decorative triangle 8'' x 8''

- Acrylic paint

- Craft embellishments (I am using craft gems)

- Stretch cord

- Mini Christmas ornaments

- Optional-Faux snow powder

- Gold letters

- One mini bow

-Hot glue

-Scissors

Applying acrylic paint to the wooden triangle

Begin by taking your paintbrush and applying acrylic paint to the wooden triangle. I decided to add white in the center and around the sides of my wooden triangle. Allow the paint to dry completely.

Next, take your second acrylic paint color and apply it to the front outer surface of your wooden triangle.

Adding decorative napkin and Mod Podge

Take your decorative napkin and be sure to remove the second layer if your napkin is 2-ply. Once you have removed the second layer, take your scissors and cut out the design you want to use.

Use your paintbrush to apply your Mod Podge to the wooden triangle. I decided to add my design to the bottom of the wooden triangle. Place your design over the Mod Podge surface and smooth it out. I used a blow dryer when I applied my napkin over the Mod Podge. After that, take your paintbrush and add Mod Podge over the napkin design. I added a little paint around the decorative napkin design.

Adding gold letters and mini ornaments

Next, I took my gold letters and added the word "joy" just above my decorative napkin.

I then took my stretch cord and cut the cord to the appropriate size for hanging my mini ornaments. I took each ornament and looped my stretched cord at the top of each one, then tied them off.

Using hot glue, I attached the two ornaments to the top of my wooden triangle.

Adding bow and faux snow

The last step is to add your mini bow and faux powder snow. I used hot glue to attach my mini bow to the top of my wooden triangle. Next, I added a little Mod Podge to the bottom of my wooden triangle and some powdered snow.

Your cute Christmas tabletop decor is complete. This is perfect for displaying in any room or given as a gift. Be sure to let me know if you decide to create your very own Christmas tabletop decor. Thank you so much for visiting and creating with me. I will see you all soon.
