I found a color called Ella Rose at my local Lowe's store. This time, I decided to work with chalk spray paint instead of using regular paint and a paintbrush. I took four cans to my garage and sprayed around three coats of chalk paint on them. If you decide to use spray paint, make sure you work in a well-ventilated area. Once you finish spraying, set the cans aside and allow them to dry.

Step 1: Applying paint to the round wooden section

To begin, take the round wood section and start applying acrylic paint on it. I found it easier to use a paper towel instead of a paintbrush for this step. However, I noticed that the paper towel left a few pieces on my board. I think using a cloth would have been a better option. Additionally, I thinned out the paint by adding a little water.

Step 2: Applying the Mod Podge and decorative napkin

I recently used this beautiful floral napkin in a few of my projects. To add some charm, I applied Mod Podge to the lower part of my circular wooden piece.

Step 3: Attaching the wooden blocks to the round wooden section
Wood glue, wooden squares, and round wooden section

Attach your four wooden squares to the bottom of the round wood using wood glue. Allow the squares to dry completely.

Step 4: Gluing the cans together and adding twine

Afterward, take your cans and use hot glue to stick them together.

Metal cans and twine

Once you have glued your cans together, you can choose to wrap twine around them, though this step is optional. Wrap the twine around the cans and cut any excess using scissors. If you have fabric hearts to add to your design, use hot glue to attach them to each of the cans. That's all!

That's all for my tabletop metal can organizer. I put a few of my craft supplies in each can. I decided not to glue the cans onto my round wooden board. When I'm not using the can organizer, I'll probably place a vase on top and display my fresh flowers, adding it to my coffee table decor. This was such a fun project, and I hope you all enjoyed it. I'll be back soon!
