Create An Easy Winter Wood Riser Candle Display

Looking for an easy and festive DIY project for winter? Learn how to create a beautiful winter wood riser candle display with just a few materials. This simple craft will add a cozy and decorative touch to your home during the colder months.

Today we are working on a simple DIY project. We're creating a Winter wood riser candle display. This craft is pretty simple, and it is beginner-friendly. I will provide a materials list and step-by-step instructions.

Video tutorial

Materials
Four square wood craft blocks Purchased from Dollar Tree Acrylic paint Paintbrush One wood circle Winter floral Hot glue Craft gems I'm using the craft gem ribbon from Dollar Tree with a sticky backing Floral cutters Scissors One wood word decoration One small battery-operated candle

Applying paint to the round wood

Take your wooden circle and apply acrylic paint to it using a paintbrush. Once you’ve applied the paint, allow the wooden circle to dry completely before proceeding with the next step.

Attaching square blocks to round wood

Next, take your four square wood blocks, and using your hot glue, attach your blocks to the bottom side of your wood circle.

After applying your blocks, add your acrylic paint to your blocks.

Adding craft gem ribbon to round wood

Take your scissors and begin to cut your gem ribbon to add to your wood circle. The gems I am using have a sticky backing to them and multiple gems attached to the ribbon. I found this to be easier than attaching individual gems to my wood circle.

Cutting and adding floral

Now you are ready to add on your winter floral. I placed my candle in the middle of my wooden circle. I did this so that I would know exactly where to glue my floral around on my wood circle. Be sure to leave the center of your wood circle clear of your flowers. Attach your floral with your hot glue.

If you have any pinecones, and other decorations add them along with your flowers.

Lastly, take your wooden word decoration and begin to add your acrylic paint to it. I decided to use a light pink paint color. After, take your wooden word decoration and add it to the front side of the candle. I just placed my wooden word in front of my candle.

Your winter wood riser is complete! Wasn't that an easy DIY project? I'd love to hear from you. Let me know if you decide to create your very own. This makes a great decoration all winter long. Thank you for stopping by and creating with me. I'll see you soon.
