DIY Pitcher Floral Decoration

Materials Needed

  • One pitcher $7.88 - Walmart
  • Pack of stretch cords $2.88- Walmart
  • Wood beads $1.60- Walmart
  • Faux Roses $1.20 each (two bundles) -Michaels
  • Foliage/Greenery 3.00 -Michaels
  • Spray paint (Chalky white finish by Krylon) $6.98-Lowe's
  • Painter's tape
  • Gold paint
  • Wire cutters

Creating your pitcher floral decoration

To start, wrap painter's tape around the handle of your pitcher. After that, move to a well-ventilated area and begin spraying your pitcher with the spray paint.

You may notice that the first coat of spray paint appears a little runny, but don't worry about it because you will need to apply two more coats. Once you have completed this step, set your pitcher aside and wait for it to dry completely.

Now you can use wire cutters to trim the stems of your roses and foliage. Ensure that you cut enough to fit your plants into the pitcher without hanging over its edges.

While waiting for the pitcher to dry, take your wooden beads and stretch the cord. The beads should wrap around the top of your pitcher. Before attaching the beads, ensure that you cut the right amount of cord. Verify that it will wrap around the top of your pitcher and that you can tie it off after adding the beads.

First, take your beads and add them to your stretch cord. I suggest painting your beads after they are on the stretch cord, as it is easier to apply the paint on each bead this way. Be sure to tie off the ends of your stretch cord. After you have painted your beads, set them aside and allow them to dry.

Once both the beads and pitcher are completely dry, you can add the beads around the top section of your pitcher. Finish by tying off the beads. Congratulations, you're all done! Your pitcher is now complete. Find a perfect spot in your home to display your beautiful creation. I personally hung mine above the cabinet space in my kitchen.

Wood Box With Glass Bottles Decorative Centerpiece

Hi everyone! I hope that you are all doing well. It has been pretty rainy these past few days. I'm enjoying the rainy weather compared to the really hot days we were getting before.  Today we are working on building a wood box centerpiece. Instead of using the wood crate boxes from Dollar Tree, I wanted to build my own box. For this project, we're using a wood fence picket. I paid $1.48 for one picket, and you can create two boxes with just this one picket. I'm also going to reuse my glass Frappuccino bottles. I will provide a video tutorial as well.  Video tutorial Materials   One wood fence picket- I purchased mine at my local Lowe's for $1.48 Two glass bottles-I am reusing my Starbucks glass bottles Paint Paintbrush Faux greenery Rub-on transfers Wood glue Corner clamps Hot glue One round wooden circle Floral snips Scissors Begin by cutting your wood fence picket.
