DIY Decorative Autumn Tray

I’m turning a simple tray into a beautiful autumn‑themed piece using easy, beginner‑friendly steps. It’s a sweet way to add seasonal charm to your home, whether you style it on a coffee table, entryway, or kitchen counter. Hello! Today I have a simple Fall craft for you all. 
I took a buildable wall art kit and turned it into an Autumn tray.

Materials needed

-Wood wall art kit. 

This kit was perfect; the frame is actually deep enough to act as a tray. I purchased this for $3 at Target

-1 Wreath kit 

This is optional, but I wanted the felt leaves out of this kit for my project. Also purchased it at Target for $3. I'll use what is left from this kit to create another project soon.

-2 Clay foxes

I thought these would be perfect as a display on my tray.

-1 Clay pumpkin

Purchased at Target for $1

1 Hello Fall sign

This was included in my wall art kit

Other materials

Paint 

hot glue

optional pumpkins

Total spent: $10

At the craft store, you can find similar materials. However, for this look, I used materials from Target.

Paint your tray

To start, begin by painting your tray with a blend of red and gold paint. This will require a few coats of paint. Once painted, allow the tray to dry completely.

Painting the fox, Fall sign, and pumpkin decorations

While waiting for the tray to dry, start painting the foxes and pumpkins. For the foxes, mix brown with orange and use orange paint for the inner ears and tail, and a darker pink for the nose. For the pumpkin, use orange mixed with some gold. Once painted, allow the clay decorations to fully dry.
Apply paint to the Hello Fall sign using a yellow color.

Add felt leaves to the tray

Next, glue the felt leaves to the tray, layering them as desired. Then, glue the pumpkins on top.

Finally, place the decorations inside the tray, and you're done! All that's left is to display your wonderful Autumn tray.
