Framed Fall Decoration

Hi everyone! I hope all is well. I'm super excited for Fall to arrive in a few days. We have been experiencing a few hot days, and I'm definitely ready for cooler days. I found this framed base at Target in the dollar spot section. It was three dollars, and I noticed the tag read, DIY to match your décor.  I bought it and decided I would create a framed fall decoration. I already had most of my materials on hand. I will take you through the steps of creating your very own.

Materials

One black framed decoration

One wood hello sign

One wood pumpkin decoration

Paint

One decorative napkin

Paintbrush

Hot glue and E6000

Faux Fall leaves

Start by applying paint to your wooden pumpkin decoration.  Set your pumpkin aside and allow it to dry.

Next, take your napkin and cut the decorative section you will want to be displayed in the center of your frame.

After, remove the second layer of your napkin. Begin to apply your mod podge onto the center of your frame. Once you have done so, take your napkin and place it on top of the mod podge. I made sure to smooth out any wrinkles. I used my blow dryer on a low setting. You are now ready to apply your mod podge over your napkin. Apply a thin layer.  This is optional, but you can also add a border around your napkin using your paint.

Next, apply paint to your hello sign. I used antique white and espresso on my sign.

After, take one of your fall leaves, and add it to your wooden pumpkin decoration.

You are now ready to add your decorations to your framed décor. I used both my hot glue and E6000 adhesive to add on my decorations and fall leaves.

Your framed fall decoration is complete and ready to be displayed. I love how this turned out, and my total cost for this project was just over three dollars. Thank you so much for stopping by and creating with me. I'll see you soon.
